Hello, everyone!
October was the perfect time to celebrate the art of cardmaking! With World Cardmaking Day falling on the 4th, we invited our crafting community to join in the fun with a special Rosie’s Studio Cardmaking Challenge. Each handmade card shared on Instagram counted as an entry, and one lucky winner received $50 USD store credit!
We were blown away by the creativity, colour, and care that went into every submission. Today, we’re sharing a selection of these beautiful cards to inspire your next project. Whether you’re drawn to a clever layout, a favourite collection, or a new technique to try, there’s something here for every maker to love.

@my.cat.and.crafts | Brand New Day
Our winner, Ana, crafted this beautiful card. A large sentiment takes centre stage here, framed with layered diecuts, paper roses, and a dimensional butterfly embellishment. It’s a simple formula that always looks polished and professional.
@my.cat.and.crafts | Work of Heart
Proof that paper offcuts and leftover ephemera can still go a long way! The monochrome background lets the bold sentiment shine, while those bright blooms bring everything to life.
@shlink | Golden Afternoon
We love how @shlink translated her signature journaling style into this mixed-media card. It’s a great reminder that cards can be like smaller-scale journal, or album pages, with just one heartfelt message as the focus.
A Little Bit Spooky
October wouldn’t be complete without a few spooky creations! From sweet pastels to glitter and ghosts, our makers showed that Halloween cards can be as playful or as eerie as you want them to be.
@whatkerrimakes | Hocus Pocus
This pop-up card creates a full layered Halloween scene which is the perfect excuse to pile on the diecuts for an amazing decorative display.
@little_pink_crafter | Hocus Pocus
Who says spooky can’t be cute? Soft pastel tones and sweet details like these bows prove that Halloween cards don’t have to be dark to be delightful.
@projectsparkle | Hocus Pocus
A mug-shaped card that’s just boo-tiful! Shaped cards add instant fun. Want to see how it’s made?
@vero.scrap.68 | Midnight Moonlight
A touch of glitter always works its magic especially at Halloween! This shimmering design mixes sparkle with just the right amount of spooky charm.
One Collection, So Many Cards
It’s amazing what you can create with just one collection! From soft and sweet to bright and bold, these talented makers show how different layouts and embellishment choices can give every card its own personality.
@theoverthinkingcrafter | You Make My Day
Six gorgeous cards, all from the same collection and each one unique. Try mixing paper layers, using frames, and experimenting with different sentiment placements to get the most from your stash.
@le_scrap_de_sansan | Jubilee
A true celebration of cardmaking! We love the mix of diecut frames, a rosette centerpiece, and even a belly band that adds a touch of surprise. Every card bursts with so much joyful energy.
@pricklypinkcrafter | Golden Afternoon
So many stunning cards, each with its own personality. Look closely and you’ll spot clever layering, fussy cutting, and creative use of negative space proving that variety comes from imagination, not just supplies.
Cards for Christmas
Tinsel, sparkle, and festive cheer! These makers were definitely in the holiday spirit! Cards are such an integral part of the holiday season. From shaker cards to shaped designs, these projects show that handmade Christmas cards can also be gifts in themselves.
@dailydoseofhoppiness | Oh Joyful Day & Peppermint Twist
Two beautiful cards that bring together diecutting and detailed embellishing for layers full of dimension. They’re the kind of cards that feel like little presents all on their own.
@little_pink_crafter | Peppermint Twist
An apron-shaped card that’s as sweet as a Christmas cookie! The gold foil accents add an extra festive touch. This project would be perfect as a card, tag, or even an ornament.
@marinamanioti | Full of Wonder
This elegant card pairs layered patterned papers with gold foil matting for a classic holiday look. It’s a simple technique that always adds sophistication.
@helloitsmeroxie | Full of Wonder
A delightful card features a diecut fireplace scene that definitely brings the cheer! Check out the full post to see who pops out of the chimney…it’s too cute to miss!
@projectsparkle | Peppermint Twist
A snowglobe shaker card that twinkles with sequins and glitter. Shaker cards always make the Christmas season extra fun!
