CELEBRATING LOVE
a collection of projects to inspire
Posted on 30 JANUARY 2024

Hello Hugs and Kisses to all our lovely friends!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we’ve been thinking how love is such an integral theme in so many scrapbooking layouts. We are so lucky to have amazing Brand Ambassadors and Guest Crafters that have expressed what’s in their heart so that we can share their projects with you.

These crafts were all made with our November 2023 collection Heartfelt.

So many Reasons To Smile - layout by @ dearlydee

When you are in love with your best friend life is bound to be filled with smiles. Our Brand Ambassador @dearlydee crafted this beautiful  layout  using a 12 x 12″ paper in this birch-bark pattern as her base. The most striking feature of this layout is the stamped border of cherry blossoms that surrounds Diane’s photo.

Always - layout by @ cropkat

If you are looking for ways to add special touches to your layouts, then a double-layered background like this one from @cropkat might just inspire you. By folding back the top layer of paper, you can reveal a stash of diecut ephemera embellishments or special mementos – like ticket stubs and handwritten notes.

The Best Day - layout by Josie Druetta

The cut file background of hearts is so versatile and can be used for so many different occasions. Josie used a beautiful and colourful watercolour patterned paper to back her cut file, then positioned this on top of another sheet of 12 x 12″ paper.

You + Me - layout by @dearlydee

This adorable 6 x 6″ layout would make such a pretty page for a wedding album. Diane crafted a sunburst layout using 5 different patterned papers. In between those papers she has used either stitching with sequins, or an assortment of floral diecut shapes to create a design that simply stunning. The intricate background didn’t require much embellishment, so a simple title was the perfect finish.

I Choose You - layout by @lissascraftyplace

Some love has four furry feet! Our office helper, Clementine, was captured in this delightful 6 x 6″ layout giving big puffy-dog eyes to her mum!

Lissa coordinated the cherry blossoms from her paper background with her diecut ephemera, grouping them along the torn edges of the papers to soften the where they meet the edges of the photo.

A diecut sentiment was added as a final touch…voila!

Express Your Love with A Handmade Card

Sometimes it’s hard to express your strong feelings in words. For some us crafters, we show that through the things we create  – choosing certain pieces that we feel capture what’s inside our hearts, and taking the time to make something truly unique for someone.

Here is some inspiration to get your started on your card-making journey. Some of these cards may be simple, but their message goes a long way.
