SPRING PROJECTS: crafting with rhoda

Spring is the season for flowers, butterflies and love! I have a cute Valentine’s Day album and some floral embelishments that I’d love to share with you today.
I’ve been crafting with the Forget Me Not collection, which has this color palette full of blues, lilacs, and lavender.
Love knows no boundaries…including colors! For this Valentine’s project, I steered away from the usual reds and pinks to make this simple Heart shaped album using the “Forget Me Not” collection.

I used stitching on the cover and these amazing 3D butterfly embellishments to add a ton of texture and give a final pop to each corner of the central the frame.
I even found these gold butterfly charms in my stash that matched perfectly, and used an eyelet to attach them to the cover.
For my next project I decided that when life gives you pretty papers…you make pretty flowers!
I love papercrafting, but there are days when I just want to take it slow and not give too much effort what to create next. These are the days when I make flowers!
You can never go wrong with flowers and there’s always a spot in any project for them.
For this set of flowers, I used my current favorite collection Forget Me Not. I used the textured solid cardstock to create these and will add them to my stash for future projects!
